Spandana Education Trust was registered in the year 2009 by a group of parents and individuals interested in assisting teachers, doctors and other medical/pedagogic professionals to bring a higher level of understanding and consciousness in their daily work.

To achieve this objective the members of the Trust have decided to conduct regular teacher / doctor / parent workshops in Education / Medicine and other allied fields. The first of such training programs - Humanising Education through Art, Movement and Rhythm in the Waldorf Science and Humanities Curriculum, will be conducted from the 3rd to 7th Jan 2012 in Hyderabad, for teachers, special educators, doctors and parents who wish to learn more about the pedagogic and medical aspects of Waldorf / Steiner Education. Parents, teachers and medical professionals will get an opportunity to interact and learn from individuals from various parts of the world (including India), who have spent a greater part of their life working with Anthroposophy, the philosophy behind Waldorf Education and Anthroposophic Medicine.

This will be followed by an awareness program for parents, teachers and doctors who are interested in or connected to Epilepsy and the various therapeutic possibilities that are available in the World today. Leading doctors and experts from across the world will conduct an awareness program, sometime during the early part of the coming year.

The trust’s endeavour will be one of providing an enduring platform for professionals of various pedagogic and medical streams to bring their expertise and knowledge together for the benefit of all.
